Congratulations to all the runners who came out on a wet Sunday November 17th, 2019, for the XC Ramble in Clearbrook Park to brave the conditions (which was light rain after a heavy rain fall the night before had made big chunks of the route to be waterlogged. All three climbs were muddy and slippery... lots of fun!!). A small but eager group headed out to finish either the 6.3 K or 2.3 K route.
First in the 6.3 K was Mark Klassen from Mission in a time of 21.43 which is a great time for the slippery, muddy conditions today!1 Caiden Lee just 14 years old had a great performance in finishing 17 seconds later second place overall. Fifth overall was the first veteran runner Dave Cressman from Vancouver (22.52).
Top woman was Corinne Issel of White Rock in a time of 27.52 as she beat local runner and TWU coach Kathy Rung who ran strongly in second in 28.01. In the youth 2.3 K race the first finisher was 12 year old Bernardo Sada in a great time of 8.36 while second was the first girl in Abigail Yakemchuk in 8.54!
