The PEN RUN Marathon / Half-marathon Club is a unique, dynamic and enjoyable way to get ready for the challenge you’ve been looking for.

  • Spring Program: Starts January 8, 2022
  • Maintenance: May-July
  • Fall Program: July-October
  • Maintenance: October - December

Program Days:

Technical workouts will be Monday & Wednesdays at 6:00PM, and long runs will be Saturday's at 7AM through December 2022. Free drop-ins on Saturday mornings.

Program Highlights:

Based on consistent, purpose-driven 3 week cycles with ‘layering builds’. The Program is ‘scalable’, with all workouts and distances set for the new or ‘rebuilding’ runner. Workouts can easily scale-up for any athlete looking for more; for example, if the program calendar shows 3x-miles scheduled, it’s easy to take that workout up to 4 or 5 or 6x, if you need more.

Note: There is a draft copy of the Marathon Club Program (exclusive and proprietary to Peninsula Runners Company Inc.) at Pen Run’s White Rock store-location, for your review/preview upon request.

Our proven program is designed specifically to assist individuals in making the transition from shorter distance runs through to the full-marathon distance. It is also perfect for experienced 5K – 10K runners seeking that "next level" of long-distance running experience and fitness. You should be able to comfortably run 10km three times per-week.

Typically, each program (Spring and Fall versions) is 17 weeks long and will prepare you to participate in a half or full marathon (perfect for the BMO Marathon or the Fort Langley Half).
